North Mississippi school superintendents Wednesday expressed concern the Initiative 42 item on the Nov. 3 general election ballot could be public education’s last hope to get the funding that districts say they have been promised since the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP) was first enacted nearly 20 years ago.
